PATCH GENIUS

Privacy

The optional online services collect only what they need to operate.

Effective 9 September 2026

Offline play

Patch Genius does not require an account or internet connection for ordinary desktop play. The game contacts the Patch Genius service only when you choose an online feature such as account access, leaderboards, or rack sharing.

Information we use

An online account may contain a generated or player-selected public name, connected sign-in methods, an encrypted email address verified through a magic link, submitted scores, and racks you choose to share. Security logs may include request time, network address, and error information for limited abuse prevention and diagnosis.

Facebook Login supplies an app-scoped identifier used only to sign you in or connect Facebook to an existing Patch Genius account. We do not store Facebook access tokens after authentication and do not use the Facebook JavaScript SDK, advertising tools, or page-view tracking.

How information is used

Account information operates sign-in and privacy controls. Public player names and eligible scores appear on leaderboards. Submitted racks are shown only when you deliberately publish them. We do not sell personal information or use account information for targeted advertising.

Connected accounts

Provider identities are kept separate and are never merged merely because two providers report the same email address. Connecting another provider requires authentication to the existing Patch Genius account.

Deletion

The Account page can permanently delete your Patch Genius account, sign-in data, scores, and owned shared racks. A Facebook data-deletion request removes the Facebook connection and Facebook-provided data. If another verified sign-in method remains, independent game data is retained; if Facebook was the final sign-in method, the complete Patch Genius account is deleted. Existing sessions are revoked in either case.

Deletion confirmations contain no personal information and remain available for 30 days. Deleted live data may remain temporarily in restricted disaster-recovery backups until those backups expire and is not restored for ordinary use.

Service providers and legal requirements

The service uses the hosting, email-delivery, and sign-in providers necessary to provide the features you request. Information may be disclosed when legally required or when necessary to protect the security and availability of the service.

Changes and questions
